Beijing Welcomes “Meet in Beijing” Art Festival

"Meet in Beijing” Art Festival will be held in Beijing from the end of April/. This festival will last one month from April 30^th to May 28^th with the inspiring theme “Yon Create Art”.

During this time, audiences can appreciate interesting shows acted by 2,000 performers from all over the world. More than 150 performances by 30 top art troupes will be on. There will also be outdoor activates.

Programs range from the classical ballet art to the modern music concert, such as the grand ballet The Pharaoh's Daughter, contemporary ballet Snow White, Kunqu opera, Lao She's Short Stories and solo concerts held by Jackie Cheung and Eason Chan.

Since 2000, it is the tenth year of this festival, the original idea of this festival is to establish one of the world’s most prominent international art festivals. "As a comprehensive arts festival, we hope “Meet in Beijing” will serve as an effective platform for cultural exchanges between China and the world and represent Beijing as a truly international metropolis," said Wang Zhu, head of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture.
